How did it come to this?
Images are almost all out in every marvel blogs and sites - such x-men being laid down by the avengers. Its all part of the Dark Reign twist.
In the post Secrect Invasion, the government assigned Norman Osborn, a reformed super villain - green goblin - by reputation, for team redevelopment to head the superhero team thunderbolts to stop the skrull threat.
When the Skrulls lost the battle and failed their takeover attempt on the planet, as the aliens were driven from Earth, it was Thunderbolts leader Norman Osborn who emerged as a publick hero while Tony Starks took the fall along with many of his former teammates, some of whom are now wanted as criminals.
Also, Osborn given a leadership of espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D., reforms that agency into H.A.M.M.E.R. and creates a new Avengers team with his own crew of villains, dressed them up as the real thing, with himself wearing a version of Iron Man's armor with Captain America's color, calling himself the Iron Patriot.
Things are about to get worst. I just have to mention some of his crew... and probably number will add up.. who knows..
Moonstone
Dr. Karla Sofen is a founding member of the "heroic" Thunderbolts and former member of the Masters of Evil. As a member of Osborn's "Dark" Avengers, she has taken up the mantle of Ms. Marvel.
Bullsye
A cruel, cruel assassin with perfect aim. He can use just about anything as a weapon. Currently he is employed by Norman Osborn to pose as Hawkeye in the Dark Avengers.
Daken
Wolverine's long lost son, he was torn from his mother's womb by the dark figure Romulus. Raised with a warped view on his father's abandonment and his mother's murder, he holds a grudge against his father.
Venom
MacDonald Gargan was an investigator that was turned into the Scorpion. He is the current host of the Venom symbiote.
Noh-Varr
Noh-Varr is a white skinned Kree male from an alternate reality who was genetically engineered from Cockroach DNA. He is the fifth person to have used the names Marvel Boy and Captain Marvel as his aliases.
Sentry
As the Sentry, Robert Reynolds is one of the most powerful beings in the Universe. But deep within his subconscious lies a dark alter ego known as the Void, whom he fears.
Ares
Ares is the Greek god of war. He is currently a member of Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers.
Begins this June.
